Mr. Daniel Batten
Daniel Batten will report to Ryn Fleischer in the Upper School as he will be teaching Spanish. He graduated from the University of Richmond in the spring of 2010 with a BA in Latin American and Iberian Studies along with a BA in International Studies: Latin America. Daniel has recently been working at the University of Richmond in the Theatre Department since 2007 while attending school there.

Ms. Kristin Cole
Kristin Cole will also be joining the Upper School Faculty as the Chemistry teacher. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 2007 with a BA in Chemistry and Biology. She has worked as a full time substitute teacher tor the Savannah-Chatham Public Schools as a long term replacement for teachers on leave since August, 2007.

Mr. Richie Cook
Richie Cook will teach Drama and head up the Yearbook staff this year, reporting to Ryn Fleischer in our Upper School Division. He graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Tennessee in the spring of 2004, and with a MFA in Media and Performing Arts from SCAD in the spring of 2010. He has taught at the Savannah Children’s Theatre, Savannah College of Art and Design, and lectured as the assistant to the Chair of the Fine Arts Department at the Walters State Community College in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Mr. Ben Dombroski
Our new Upper School English teacher, Ben Dombroski, graduated from Virginia Commonwealth in 2009 with a Masters of Fine Arts, Creative Writing. He also received his BA in English and History there, in 2006. Ben taught as a graduate assistant and Instructor at his alma mater from 2006-2009.
Mr. Kyle Garland
Kyle Garland will join the Upper School Math department as a math teacher. He graduated in 2004 with a BA in Teaching Mathematics and worked as a math teacher from 2005 until the present at the Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, WI .

Brock Miller
Brock Miller will be the new head football coach this fall for the Saints. Miller received his Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University. As a student, he was a three year starter and four year letterman for the varsity football team. He was also a member of the 1988 All ACC Football Team under the leadership of Dick Sheridan. After college, he played professional football for the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League. Miller has been the head football coach at Colleton Preparatory Academy for the past ten years. Prior to that, he was head coach at Hudgens Academy in Lynchburg, SC.

Ms. Pamela Warren
Pamela Warren has taught at Savannah Country Day School for the past seven years and will join our Middle School Division as the 5/6th grade Language Arts teacher. Pamela graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with a MS in Education and from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a BA in Elementary Education.

Mr. Daniel Welch
Daniel Welch joins the Middle School Division as the 5/6th grade Science teacher. Daniel previously taught at Superior Elementary in Boulder, CO. from 2004 until the present. He graduated from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2000 with a Masters of Education. He received his BA from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota in Anthropology.
